If we haven’t yet met, hello! I’m Genell. I’m leading the brand new Outreach Department at Salina Family Healthcare Center.
To answer your first question, the Outreach Department aims to improve and extend healthcare accessibility to everyone within Saline County. We collaborate with local community partners to provide healthcare education, special health services that are aimed at a single demographic or that impact a larger population, and basically whatever health services the community is needing, brought directly to them. We are a team that looks forward to getting out of the office space and meeting our community wherever they are!
For example, you may have seen us driving all around Salina and the rural parts of the county in a purple and white van all summer. We are the group that has been planning and bringing COVID-19 vaccination events to the community! While we plan to continue COVID-19 testing and vaccinations as long as there is a pandemic, we want to partner with you to bring more health services to the community. Specifically, our underserved populations have a special place in our hearts and we aim to positively impact those groups extraordinarily. After all, our tagline is ‘Extraordinary care for all, no exceptions’.
To answer your second question, all you have to do to work with us is reach out! We love brainstorming and want to hear your ideas for partnerships that will improve our community. To get ahold of us, call us at 785-825-7251 ext. 523 or email us at gheimer@SALINAHEALTH.ORG. Below are some ideas that we have for a sustainable and impactful outreach collaboration with you.
We can’t wait to hear from you!
