Sarah Shaban, MD, is from Amman, Jordan, the country’s capital. She knew from a young age that she wanted to become a doctor, as she was always drawn to helping people, solving complex problems, and always seeking an intellectual challenge. Dr. Shaban received her MD from University of Jordan, Faculty of Medicine.

She is especially interested in Pediatrics and Women’s Health. If you ask Dr. Shaban about her favorite thing in her job she’ll tell you it is having the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives. She also enjoys talking to and getting to know her patients, as well as watching the little ones grow. She’d want potential patients to know that SFHC is her second residency. Dr. Shaban’s first residency was a pediatric residency in Jordan. She has also worked as a hospitalist in a cancer center and is a breastfeeding advocate.

When Dr. Shaban isn’t in the clinic, she is probably spending time with her husband, three kids and newly adopted kitten. You can always see them running around the town doing all sorts of activities or at home playing video games. They enjoy traveling both domestically and internationally, as they like getting to know more about different cultures. They collect magnets from every state and country they visit together. She also enjoys cooking, especially Mediterranean cuisine. Fun fact: She’s also a great party and event planner!
