Sara Teague, DO
Resident Physician
Blue Team
Sara Teague, DO, is a native of Cheney, KS, a small town of approximately 2,000 people. She has always had a love of helping people and science – maybe some inspiration from her chemistry teacher mom!
“Being a physician combines my passions, with my skills in problem solving and critical thinking to create the perfect job! I get to use my brain, help patients, and work with great people. I also love to learn and the commitment to lifelong learning that medicine requires,” she says.
Dr. Teague’s journey to becoming a physician started with her undergraduate degree at Kansas State University, and continued at Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is especially passionate about women’s health – specifically issues that have traditionally been under-treated, such as post-OB care, menopause care, and contraception care. She also loves working with patients on concerns related to dermatology, in-office procedures, endocrine, psychiatry – essentially whole person care! Her favorite thing about being a physician is being able to “connect with patients and empower them to take an active role in their care. With Family Medicine, I get to be involved in a broad scope of patient problems and conditions. I get to deliver a baby, place an IUD, take care of hypertension patients, and freeze off an AK all in one day!” Dr. Teague would like potential patients to know that she wants you to feel comfortable asking questions and that she will work hard to help them stay healthy and happy.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Teague loves to travel with her husband, Zak. They are slowly checking off all of the National Parks and states (she’s been to 44). They also enjoy watching comedies, trying new foods, hiking, tennis, and spending time with their dog, Winnifred, family, and friends. Fun fact: She also played club lacrosse at Kansas State University. Go Cats!
