Behavioral Health Integration Supervisor
Samantha Coup-Metzler, Behavioral Health Integration Supervisor, is a native of Hope, KS in neighboring Dickinson County. Samantha achieved her undergraduate degree at Kansas State University. While at KSU, she tap-danced and served as President of Psi Chi, an honor society for psychology students. She then made the move to the University of Kansas to finish her Master's Degree. Yes, she cheers for both the Wildcats and the Jayhawks!
Now that she's in the field, Samantha's favorite thing is getting to "plant seeds for future change." She says, "Even if I don't see immediate change, it's worth knowing that they may use it in the future." She enjoys working with a large spectrum of individuals, ranging from adolescents up to middle-aged adults and beyond. “I want to promote a sense of self-efficacy and fulfillment within the individual”. Samantha has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She utilizes therapeutic techniques that encourage autonomy and acceptance.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, baking and cooking, running, watching horror films, and playing adult recreation sports.
