Philip Sedo, MD

Faculty Physician
Dr. Philip Sedo is a native of Canada - specifically the provinceĀ of Manitoba. Dr. Sedo practiced family medicine in Rugby, North Dakota for over 30 years. While in North Dakota, he met his wife, Jean, a nurse who hates cold winters. Jean, whose sister lives in Kansas, saw this region as a natural fit. In 2016, he joined the team as a Faculty Physician, serving as a part-time supervisor within Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Sedo and Jean have five adult children and several grandchildren. When he's not in office or spending time with his family, Dr. Sedo enjoys curling, hockey, reading, dancing, and gardening. He was even once the Commissioner of the North Dakota High School Amateur Hockey League for over ten years! True to his Canadian roots, Dr. Sedo is not a fan of hot Kansas summer days.
