Maria Lamatsch, MD
Resident Physician
Orange Team
Dr. Lamatsch is a family medicine physician originally from Wichita, Kansas, who is passionate about helping patients live healthy, fulfilling lives. Her interest in healthcare began in high school while accompanying her mother to chemotherapy treatments, where she witnessed firsthand the impact compassionate medical care can have on patients and their families. She further solidified her desire to become a physician while attending Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where she worked as a phlebotomist and medical assistant at a local urgent care clinic. Those experiences inspired her commitment to providing high-quality care that empowers patients to thrive.
One of the aspects Dr. Lamatsch enjoys most about family medicine is the opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life. Her interests include preventive care, chronic disease management, maternity and women’s health, pediatrics, sports medicine, and geriatrics. She especially values the lasting relationships she builds with patients and feels honored to walk alongside them through both the joys and challenges of life. Known for her approachable nature and attentive listening skills, Dr. Lamatsch strives to create an environment where patients feel supported, celebrated in their successes, and cared for during difficult times.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lamatsch enjoys spending time with family and friends, including her husband and their dog, Stella. She loves being outdoors and can often be found walking, playing pickleball, gardening, or reading on her patio. She also enjoys attending weekly Mass with her family. A fun fact about Dr. Lamatsch is that she once traveled to Iceland and spent two weeks helping build a goat playground for a petting zoo in the rural countryside. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their health goals.
