Karli Schrag-Bonilla, RDH, is a native of Topeka. We can all thank her childhood dental team for getting her into a career as a Hygienist! “The dental team that cared for me truly inspired me. They made me feel very special and cared about. I also wanted to work in a profession that helps others,” she says.

Karli’s RDH journey started at Johnson County Community College. Now, her favorite thing about her job is being able to work with a variety of patients with a variety of cultures. However, it is children who she is most passionate about working with. Karli loves being involved in helping them learn healthy habits at an early age. Plus, “they make me smile and feel young again!”

If Karli is working with you on your dental health you should know that she considers herself gentle, patient, and kind. She’s a great listener and looks forward to developing relationships with each of her patients.

When she’s not in the clinic or doing dental outreach exams, Karli enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, traveling, baking sweets, and finding treasures at garage sales and thrift stores! Plus, she’s an avid, life-long Hello Kitty collector!
