Josiah McAllister, MD is from Atkinson, a small community in Northeast Nebraska. His upbringing in this town of approximately 1,200 people is the reason he pursued becoming a physician. Dr. McAllister says he, “wanted to go back to help a small town.” This journey into medicine started at Concordia University in Nebraska and continued at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. While completing his MD, he became a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. McAllister especially enjoys sports and pediatric medicine, as well as obstetrics. His favorite thing about being a physician is getting to see patients and spending time with fellow family medicine residents. Dr. McAllister wants potential patients to know that while he is passionate about sports and pediatric medicine, he is happy to see patients of all ages and stages.

When he’s not in clinic, Dr. McAllister enjoys spending time outside and playing with his wife Jacy and son Myles. He enjoys running, watching the Chiefs play, and reading the Sunday paper.
