Deb Demel, Chief Financial Officer, is a native of Arvada, CO, a suburb of Denver. As a child, Deb idolized her uncle, an accountant, so she naturally followed in his footsteps. Those footsteps took her to Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS, and achieving her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1998. Over her career, Deb has held positions as a Controller for Crestwood, Salina Assistant City Manager, Office Manager for Salina Pediatric Care (where she discovered her love of healthcare), and Reimbursement Analyst for Salina Regional Health Center. Deb's favorite thing about her role at SFHC is getting to passionately contribute to the quality healthcare the team provides to patients. She says, "I know that at SFHC the work I do behind the scenes is supporting our amazing staff working daily to make our community healthier, one patient at a time."

A woman of many talents, Deb is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a lover of amusement parks - even visiting over 16 parks throughout the USA so far. When she's not crunching numbers or crushing her sensei's wooden boards, she enjoys baking, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family.
